A man awakens to find he can see 10 seconds into the future. What disasters could he avert? What lives could he save? What will this mean to the future of mankind? There is, however, just one small problem…
|
A two minute comedy film that blends the art direction of a silent era short with modern day, multi-layered, compositing techniques. As our ‘hero from another era’ discovers his miraculous gift we go on a journey of discovery with him to find the best use of his new powers. But will he find it to be a blessing or a curse?
The film was shot in one day in the studio with only minimal exteriors. Bright colours were deliberately chosen for the props to allow a desaturation to occur in post. All sound is post-produced.
Distribution: 10 Seconds has distribution in the US through Microcinema and CineZime in France. It was shown at the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival in the fiercely competitive Short Film category and at SuperShorts and Brief Encounters. It had a full page write up in Showreel magazine that is reproduced here and it was film of the month by Filmmaker magazine. You can also watch it on BBCi. |
