| This is the fourth collaboration between Tim Clague and Kim Rogers. Tim is a BAFTA nominated writer as well as an accomplished live action director. | This is a production that has a strong visual style but never forgets the powerful and emotional story that lies at the centre. The softly spoken monologue, the washed out colours, and the stillness of the pictures all hide the dark narrative that flows beneath. This is a film which is less about the loud shouting of a clever evangelist and more about hearing the soft whispers of the wise in your ear. | ![]() |
A rough cut of the film was shown to 300 people at the Landcrab film festival. It was fantastically well received. 'Hope' screened at the Edinburgh Film Festival 2006 - Wednesday 16th August as part of the New British Animation programme. It was also an award winning finalist at the Festival Of Films On Peace & Spirituality in India. It was also used to help children discuss difficult issues around death at campfire. You can download (pdf) the excellent discussion aid written by William Kentler from their site or from here. |
